Adulting Is Hard – We’re Here To Help

As we get older, we arrive at many “rights of passage” and milestone moments in our lives. Three of the biggest ones are arguably: getting married, having a baby, and buying a house.  Although we can’t help too much with the first two, we can put you on the right path when it comes to buying your first home.

Let’s face it, shelling out that much money and being responsible for a whole house is some scary business. We want to make it a little less scary for you by providing you with all the knowledge and tips you need to make the best decisions and have the smoothest transaction when it comes to your very first home purchase.

Cumberland Title’s owner and attorney, Matthew J. McDonald, along with The Adulting School, are hosting a class called, Insider’s Guide To Buying Your First Home, on Saturday, March 18th from 2-5pm at CloudWork Coworking, 63 Federal Street, Portland.

Matthew promises to bring his easy to understand and humor-infused knowledge of all things home buying, so that attendees feel more comfortable and in control of the process. Matthew promises to lay it all out in easy to understand steps, making sure that you understand all the terminology and documents that you’ll be signing, as well as explain what exactly it is that the title company does during this process to help protect you. And of course, there will be plenty of time to ask questions and even get a little one-on-one help if needed.

More importantly, not only will attendees walk out of the class with a comprehensive understanding of the entire home buying process, Matthew will come bearing gifts including; gift certificates for $100 off closing costs, certificates for a free smoke alarm (including professional installation), and goody bags!

We hope to see you, your friends, and your clients at this very exciting, informative and valuable class, where Matthew will impart his vast wisdom and give you the tools to help you make the most informed decisions for your adult purchase. Adulting can be easy with a little help.
